The formulation of the Multipure CBNAs water filter cartridges include a specially developed arsenic adsorbtive media that is blended with the carbon, providing for the reduction of Arsenic V. This water filter reduces particles as small as 0.5 micron. With Multipure`s solid carbon block, the water filter contact time is longer and provides for greater adsorption of many different chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and certain heavy metals. This water filter cartridge is replaceable and easily changed. The water filter capacity is 600 gallons. Water filter life will vary in proportion to the amount of water used and the level of impurities in the water being processed. recommends changing this filter every 6 months.

NSF International (, The Public Health and Safety Company™, certifies this water filter cartridge as a component of Multipure Corporation`s water filter system for pentavalent arsenic reduction. Multipure`s water filter systems are the first to be NSF Certified under NSF/ANSI Standard 53 since the pentavalent arsenic reduction claim was added to the standard. The pentavalent arsenic reduction claim was added to the standard in response to industry, regulatory and consumer demand for water treatment devices to meet the new U.S. EPA standard for arsenic in drinking water.

In addition to arsenic reduction, this water filter cartridge is certified to reduce a wide range of contaminants found in drinking water supplies including: Cysts, Lead, PCBs, MTBE, Mercury, Asbestos, Chloramine, VOCs and many more other contaminants of health concern. Multipure`s water filter cartridges contain larger amounts of filtration media than most comparable competing systems and usually exceed performance standards set by regulatory bodies, including EPA. In addition to providing healthier, safer drinking water, consumers frequently comment on the excellent taste and pleasant odor of water processed by these water filters.

It works!
We live on acreage with a well which contains trace amounts of arsenic. We have our water tested every few years, and the water from the filtered spout always tests pure, and the water from the regular spout always contains arsenic. I recommend this product - it works!

Filter good, Product it goes in poor
This filter is a good product. I usually do a water quality test, after putting the new filter in. It works well. The problem lies in the container in which the filter is to be placed. Every year I have an amazingly difficult time opening the filter housing. I have to have the person who installed the system come to the house to change the filter. One year, the whole unit came off the wall. The next year, one of the water leads broke off. Now, this is a product I purchased because I was told I could change the filters myself - hah! The guy who installed this unit no longer sells this product. He now sells a product that requires the entire unit to be replaced every 6-7 years. Even with that, it is less expensive that buying new filters every year. Unfortunately, it does not filter out as many things as this filter does. It would be nice if the company could create a filter housing that is easier to open.
