The formulation of the Multipure CBNAs water filter cartridges
include a specially developed arsenic adsorbtive media that is blended with
the carbon, providing
for the reduction of Arsenic V. This water filter reduces particles as small
as 0.5 micron. With Multipure`s solid carbon block, the water filter contact
time
is longer
and provides for greater adsorption of many different chemicals, pesticides,
herbicides
and
certain heavy metals. This water filter cartridge is replaceable and easily
changed.
The
water filter capacity is 600 gallons. Water filter life will vary in proportion
to
the
amount
of
water used and the level of impurities in the water being processed. Bestfilters.com
recommends changing this filter every 6 months.
NSF International (www.nsf.org), The Public Health and Safety Company™,
certifies this water filter cartridge as a component of Multipure Corporation`s
water filter system for pentavalent arsenic reduction. Multipure`s water
filter systems are the first to be NSF Certified under NSF/ANSI Standard
53 since the pentavalent arsenic reduction
claim was added to the standard. The pentavalent arsenic reduction claim was
added to the standard in response to industry, regulatory and consumer demand
for
water treatment devices
to meet the new U.S. EPA standard for arsenic in drinking water.
In addition to arsenic reduction, this water filter cartridge is certified
to reduce a wide range of contaminants found in drinking water supplies including:
Cysts, Lead, PCBs, MTBE, Mercury, Asbestos, Chloramine, VOCs and
many more other contaminants of health concern. Multipure`s water filter cartridges
contain larger amounts of filtration media than most comparable competing systems
