Steps to open AQ4000 housing in order to
change filters.
1. Open the caps using tabs. (Note direction of arrows - Each cap rotates
in a different direction).
2. If the caps are hard to open use a 11/16 socket.
3. If you still can't open soak housing in hot water to loosen it up then
use the tabs or socket again.
Steps to remove cartridge
A from AQ4000 housing in order to change filters.
1. Pull out the filtersafter removing caps. If the A filter is hard to remove
try using pliers to pull it out.
2. If you are having difficulties removing your A-cartridge, all you need
to do is fold up a towel on your kitchen counter, and with the A-cap removed,
give the filter a light tap on the counter, and the cartridge should jump right
out.
3. If the A filter is still not released soak the unit it hot water and repeat
step 2.
Because it is very important that the A-cartridge not be bypassed by
the untreated water, the AQ-4000 forces a strong seal on the A-cartridge.
If you are having difficulties removing your A-cartridge, all you need
to do is
fold up a towel on your kitchen counter, and with the A-cap removed, give
the filter a light tap on the counter, and the cartridge should jump
right out.
